This is where we came from
Independent Property Group's history, scale and quality of people mean we can deliver a level of service to our clients that is unrivalled in Canberra.
The company first opened its doors in 1958 under the name RO Wellsmore and underwent several iterations before being branded Independent Property Group in 2000. A long history does not however mean legacy thinking. Independent today is one of the most tech-savvy real estate companies in Australia and was the most recent recipient of the Real Estate Institute of Australia national Innovation Award.
Employing more than 200 people across five offices Independent is the current market leader in strata management, property management and project marketing in the ACT. We are among the top five in residential sales and facilities management.
A large part of our success has been our ability to bring the right people together with the latest technology to deliver a premium client experience.
In 2020 the company underwent a significant transformation resulting in a new board and executive leadership team.
