Hannah has worked for Independent Property Management since 2008 as a Property Manager for 2 years, Business Development Manager (BDM) for 6 years and currently as Managing Director of the department. In her time as a BDM, Hannah built a highly successful new business and a leasing team of 12 people and in June 2014 she achieved 100% growth of her agency’s rent roll. Hannah consults to other agencies and is a regular on the conference network, speaking at Property Management and Real Estate conferences across Australia and internationally, specialising on topics of rent roll growth, business development, customer service, client experience and goal setting. Hannah has completed her Licence in Property, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and the Australian Institute of Company Directors course. Hannah has many ties to the local community, participating in charity events and local sporting teams, as well as representing the state in Aussie Rules.
After working in aged care for a number of years, Kate moved to Canberra to earn her Certificate III in Business Studies and joined Independent in 2003 as a Property Manager. With her excellent interpersonal skills and an active and dynamic approach to her work she achieved several promotions - to Team Supervisor to Senior Property Manager and to now to her current role as Section Manager. She has won numerous awards and has obtained her real estate license. Kate focuses strongly on customer service with a positive attitude and can-do knowhow. Her caring, calm and positive nature, which comes from years working in aged care, has been a contributing asset to her success. Kate’s interests are in travel; visiting places such as America, Canada, Japan, Fiji, New Caledonia and New Zealand.
A Canberra local, David enjoys living in the ACT has a keen interest in the different Real Estate markets. For a number of years David specialised in the operations of 4 and 5 star hotels, as well as in a management role of a large licenced club group. He has progressed from property manager, to Team Supervisor, and now to the Team Leader of Independent's outstanding and vibrant property managers. David enjoys the day to day challenges that this career brings as well as new opportunities to expand his knowledge of the industry and build new client relationships.
Tim joined the Independent team in early September 2012 as a leasing consultant. Since completing year 12 at Radford College, Tim has studied Advertising and Marketing Communications at the University of Canberra drawing on his extensive experience gained in sports coaching, retailing and hospitality. Tim uses his natural ability to connect with people to identify the needs of all his clients and help them reach the best outcome. Tim enjoys all forms of sport and plays golf, cricket and tennis.
Hayley has been working with Independent Property Group since November 2009. After doing leasing for a few years she has progressed to her current role as a new business consultant. Hayley enjoys the challenge this role offers and is keen to further her knowledge and expertise in Real Estate. She always strives to do even better and offers a high standard of customer service. Hayley is well organised, self-driven and loves what she does.
Josephine started with Independent Property Management in August 2013 as a receptionist. The youngest of 5 sisters who have all worked as Leasing Consultants for Independent in the past, Josephine followed in their footsteps and is now the area expert for Tuggeranong, Woden and Weston Creek. Josephine has a welcoming personality and exceptional customer service skills - she listens to her clients' needs and ensures everyone she works with feel valued. In recognition of her excellent performance, Josephine was awarded Corporate Support Person of the year for the Real Estate Institute of the ACT in 2014.
Nancy has an extensive background in the hospitality and hotel industry. After leaving the hotel life and dabbling in winery work based in country NSW, she realised country living wasn't for her and moved to Canberra in 2013. Nancy has a strong customer service focus and a 'can do' attitude to her work and life. She prides herself on delivering the best possible service for each client and is friendly, approachable and understanding.
