New look, new tech, new approach – Independent Property Group rebrands to Independent.
Independent has just rebranded, changing both its look and its name. The rebrand was undertaken to reflect the changes that have happened in the company recently and the changes it has planned for the future.

We are introducing industry leading technology, because we know our customers expectations are rapidly evolving, and that a personalised service and real time responsiveness are an important part of the customer journey.
At Independent, we know Canberrans, and we know they want a better customer experience, whether they are online or whether they are in touch personally with our agents. Our use of new technology makes time for our agents and staff to focus on our customers and the things they value most.
We will be using cloud-based technology and continue to evolve our digital environment, to provide mobile first technology and powerful data analytics to home buyers, sellers and renters. Our technology will be more responsive, our customers will have more enjoyable experiences, and Independent will continue to be the leading customer service agency in Canberra.
Our website updates the look and feel of Independent to be in line with how we are as a company – innovative, friendly, relatable and approachable. We are providing high performance training to our agents, because the key to great customer experiences are our people, our technology and our commitment to Canberra. That means attracting, retaining, and growing great people in our company.
Over nine months to a year, you will see us introduce a virtual agent and 24/7 responsiveness. We will be using mobile first technology and powerful data analytics to add new tools for property marketing for all home sellers, prospective buyers and tenants.
Technology is enabling more and more functions to be automated, meaning our agents and staff spend more time ensuring the best possible customer experience. Automation and functionality are the key factors for delivering new ways to buy, sell or rent a home, enabling real time and self-serve experiences to buyers, sellers, tenants and owners of managed or strata properties.
Already leading innovation in the industry in Canberra, these new functions will take Independent to the forefront of Australian real estate and in many cases internationally as well.
The introduction of a new logo and better technology coincides with a significant milestone for Independent’s Foundation, which has just reached the $1million mark in donations to Canberra based charitable organisations. The Independent Foundation was established to give back to the community that has supported our business since 1958.
The Foundation strives to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged with many of our staff also volunteering their time to assist the not-for-profit organisations in Canberra and has supported and worked with an expansive list of local charities over the past 10 years. We are very proud to have reached the million-dollar mark in donations.
