Lauren Laing was born in North Sydney and moved to Canberra at the age of 8 to pursue a gymnastics scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport.
After 5 years of competing at one of the highest levels Lauren decided to leave the AIS and become an elite ice-skater. After only a year of training, Lauren was crowned State Champion and held that title for 3 consecutive years.
After Lauren finished school in 2004, she started her working career as a casual employee at one of Australia's leading men's clothing companies. After only a few months of working as a casual assistant, she progressed to Store Manager. At only age 17, the youngest employee, Lauren was promoted to the position of Area Manager, looking after 3 stores in Canberra and one in the Illawarra, a position she kept until leaving for Real Estate.
Lauren's strong sales, management skills and her elite sporting background at such a young age have given her a very strong work ethic, determination and leaves her well placed to set and achieve goals.
Lauren says the reason why she chose to work for Independent was because of their training and their professional reputation. Since starting with Independent , Lauren has never looked back.
"For a real estate experience that provides exceptional service & gets real results, Lauren Laing is an excellent choice for your agent.
Lauren was great to deal with and helped make my first experience purchasing a property a good one. She helped walk me through the process, was in very regular contact (in one instance responding in minutes to an email I sent at 10pm) and helped facilitate the purchase of some furniture from the seller. Apart from an administrative delay I experienced with my lender (through no fault of my own) this was a very good experience which is in no doubt partly due to Lauren. Thanks.
As my experience of first home buyer. I found her extremely helpful, informative and approachable. She would return the calls on time, respond to queries, n even assist in sorting or guide to sort out the matters. These attributes helped me a lot."
