Chris Uren became a franchise partner in Independent's Inner North and City office in 2012 and is enjoying the challenge of running an office along with the mentoring role he has taken on with new members of the sales team.
He is very proud of the passionate, strong team of staff now working at Independent Inner North and City. Chris's hard work was recognised in 2013 when he received Independent's Role Model of the Year award, a very proud moment especially as it is in memory of Richard Stanton, a close friend of Chris's.
Chris embarked on his real estate career not long after buying his first home when he joined Independent in February 1999. Over the years he has proven himself as a specialist in established homes and inner City investment properties, and built extensive relationships with clients living and working in Canberra. With over 750 residential real estate transactions under his belt, he has a well established network of clients built on trust and hard work.
Chris has lived in Canberra all his life and has seen first-hand the significant changes and growth of our city. His family ran a local medical practice for 30 years in Aranda, during which time Chris gained experience dealing with the public on a daily basis and learned the value of providing exceptional client service.
Chris's career started with a love for food and following a four year apprenticeship he qualified as a Chef. Strangely enough, this former career, where Chris was working long hours in a demanding environment, was the perfect introduction to the real estate industry.
While Chris is determined to put his best effort into real estate, he enjoys whatever spare time he has with his young family and whenever the opportunity presents itself, he can be found planning an outback escape with the family or on his game fishing boat somewhere offshore on the South Coast.
