Independent Scoops the Pool at REIACT Awards

September 16, 2019

At a glittering function at QT on Saturday night, Independent dominated the winners list at the annual Real Estate Institute of the ACT Awards for Excellence.

Innovation in real estate is a major focus for Independent, to ensure customers receive the best possible service and experience, leading to a win for the brand in the REIACT Award for Innovation category.

Independent also picked up the Marketing and Communications Award, Community Service Award, and the prized Large Residential Agency of the Year Award.

Independent also received individual awards, with Hannah Gill, taking out the Operational Leader of the Year Award, Tania Butler-Kemp, Mark Larmer and Aaron Lewis received the Residential Sales Team of the Year Award, and Kimberley Nugent, awarded the Residential Property Manager of the Year Award.

In March this year, Independent rebranded to demonstrate the future direction of the 60-year-old Canberra business. Independent is focussed on providing effective solutions, more streamlined processes, increasingly personalised services for customers, a future focused and Canberra-centric company while investing in market-leading integrated business systems, and proudly retaining their award-winning Canberra team.

Independent Managing Director John Minns congratulated all the winners both at Independent and throughout the industry.

“I congratulate all the winners and finalists on the night. At a time where the world, the industry and consumers are experiencing the greatest levels of change and transformation ever, it is wonderful to see such a forward looking, innovative level of agency practice in the ACT,” he said.

“Together we continue to demonstrate, in a highly competitive industry the professionalism, teamwork and drive that it takes to be industry leaders. Each of the category winners have now also qualified for the national awards and we look forward to seeing their success,” he said.
